In 1984 the first home church meetings took place and from September 1985 there were regular services with approximately ten families attending. The church was officially registered in 1988. A building in Veneux-Les Sablons was purchased in 1991 and renovated by members of the congregation.

Growth in numbers led to the renovation of another part of the building, where we have had our church services since 2005.  In 2015 we planted a new church in Donnemarie-Dontilly.

We now have a new challenge before us !

For several years we have been experiencing regular growth which has led us to have two simultaneous services on Sunday mornings, one for adults and another for children.

We are convinced that our church must continue to grow in order to reinforce the impact of the Gospel in a region of around 100,000 inhabitants.

Our present premises were inaugurated in 1991 and extended in 2005, giving us a room for our worship services that can accommodate 80 people, together with a room for the children’s service and other rooms for Bible classes. All our space is used up, with some of the people attending the Sunday service having to sit in the entrance hall. The recent sanitary crisis made the situation even more difficult.

Our greatest desire is for as many people as possible in our area to discover the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We therefore need more spacious premises in order to continue growing.

We have been looking for a suitable building, easily accessible by road and public transport, that would make it possible to enlarge our witness in the region of Moret Loing et Orvanne, Montereau, Fontainebleau and Nemours.

We would like our premises to be:

• A warm, welcoming place, open to the local community
• A place that will exist to serve the Gospel and the local population.

For the last 13 years we have been looking for new premises that would meet our needs in terms of space, visibility and versatility.  We think we have found the right place!  It’s a building of 1200 m², surrounded by 4300 m² of land, which would be suitable for both our services and other activities for all generations.

The main hall and amenities can already be used as they are.

The next stage would be to create new spaces for children’s and small group activities and a heating system.

We estimate that 150.000€ will be necessary to carry out the first stage of interior fittings and upgrading to standards including the installation of a heating system.

The funds raised will serve to acquire the premises and finance part of the work, and also, if possible, to reduce the amount of the bank loan.

We estimate that 200.000€ in internal and external donations would allow us to purchase the premises and finance the first fittings work.
